Teriyaki Chicken

I'm a big fan of crockpot meals, they are so great to have dinner ready when you get home.  We prep a bunch at once, freeze, and then just use on the day we need it.

Teriyaki Chicken adapted from "Graciously Saved" by Stephanie McDonald
Ingredients:
1 red bell pepper sliced
1 yellow bell pepper sliced
1 red onion cut in chunks
2 lg cans of pineapple (undrained)
4 garlic cloves
4 chicken breasts
1 cup teriyaki sauce (Teriyaki Sauce isn't paleo/whole30 approved so I'm making this)

Instructions:
Mix all items together. Freeze for a later date!

Write on bag: 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
        1. When ready to serve add ¼ cup teriyaki sauce to crock pot.
   2. Cook on low 8 hours-can serve over rice or lettuce

Inspiration for "Living a generous life" blog

I've thought about starting a blog for a long time, but my perfectionism probably has kept me from starting one.  I'm not really sure what all I will host on this blog at this point.  One thing I want to use it to share recipes and share them with whoever reads this blog.  I'll share recipes I've found that we love, how I have strategized meal planning with my busy teaching schedule and my husband's grad student schedule.

The name for this blog comes from a radio clip from Jud Wilhite on Klove he says, "When we are generous with our life, God is generous in our life." Not that we should share our life and love others to get God's grace or blessings, but it seems when we are faithful to loving others as God has called us to we experience more of the life He has intended us to live and more of His blessings.

This thought follows a favorite verse of mine:
"Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well." -1 Thessalonians 2:8
